Position Title: Postdoctoral/Research Associate in Sustainable Agriculture

The Facultad de Agronomía e Ingeniería Forestal of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (FAIF) was
created in 1904 being a leading institution in the field in Chile and Latin America, organized in 5 departments
(Crop Science, Fruitculture, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics and Ecosystems and Environment), it
has more than 70 active researchers, 60 Ph. D and 80 Master students.
We are looking for highly motivated and talented agricultural scientist, biologist, environmental economist,
engineer or any related area, interested in Sustainable Agriculture. A strong background in agricultural
production in Mediterranean Systems is essential.
Position Description: A full-time fixed-time postdoctoral position available for a 1 year, with the possibility
of further appointment, subject to satisfactory performance. The research fellow will be a key member of a
team conducting advanced research in one of the following key priority areas: Advanced Breeding and
Biotechnology, Sustainable Crop Production, Global Change and Resource Management, and Food Safety and
Health.
The successful candidate will be expected to write peer reviewed journal articles, present at meetings,
participate in proposal writing and carry on field work activities.
Qualifications: A doctoral degree in agricultural sciences or closely related field.
