La Facultad de Agronomía e Ingeniería Forestal busca investigadores altamente motivados y talentosos, con un background en Agronomía, Biología, Ecología, Economía Ambiental, Ingeniería y similar, a postular a la beca de Investigación Postdoctoral (FONDECYT Postdoctorado 2021).

Requisitos

Las personas interesadas deben tener la capacidad de trabajar en un entorno multicultural y de formar parte de un equipo interdisciplinario vinculándose a uno de los más de 40 proyectos de investigación que actualmente buscan un postdoc.

El concurso está dirigido a investigadoras/es que hayan obtenido su doctorado a partir del 1 de enero de 2017 hasta la fecha de cierre de las postulaciones.

Condiciones de la beca

El monto cubrirá el salario de aproximadamente $22.140.000.- por año (monto para la convocatoria de 2020). Viajes, Gastos de Operación y Bienes de Capital: $4.500.000.- y seguro de salud $488.000.- anuales. También considera financiamiento para establecerse en Chile para los científicos que residen en el extranjero en el momento en que se comunican los resultados de la convocatoria, de alrededor de $3.000.000.- por una sola vez.

Patrocinador de la propuesta

La postulación debe ser patrocinada por un/a académico/a de nuestra facultad, el/la cual debe albergar a cada becario/a, poniendo a disposición su laboratorio, equipamiento y dependencias para el desarrollo de la investigación postdoctoral.

Postdoctoral position in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Universidad Católica, Chile

The College of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences UC is looking for highly motivated and talented researchers, with a background in Agricultural, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Economics, Engineering and the like, to apply for the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (FONDECYT Postdoctoral 2021).

P. Universidad Católica de Chile is an institution with a global reputation for research and teaching. Recently, the QS Ranking ranked UC as the Chilean institution with the highest number of disciplines among the best in the world and ranked it fourth in Latin America.

Requirements

We are looking for researchers with the ability to work in a multicultural environment and to be part of an interdisciplinary team. Their work must be linked to one of the more than 40 research projects that are currently seeking a postdoc.

The contest is aimed at researchers who have obtained their doctorate from January 1, 2017 until the closing date of applications.

Scholarship conditions

Those interested should apply for the Fondecyt scholarship with the support and guidance of the Faculty. The scholarship includes a salary of approximately US $ 27,000 per year (amount for the 2020 call). In addition, an amount will be assigned for travel, Operating Expenses and Capital Goods (US$ 5,500) and health insurance (US$ 560) annually. It also considers financing to settle in Chile for scientists residing abroad at the time the results of the call are communicated (US$ 3,500 at one time).

Sponsor of the proposal

The application must be sponsored by an academic from our faculty, making available his/her laboratory, equipment, and facilities for the development of postdoctoral research.
